"Pocock" is shaping up to be the sire that guides the direction of our breeding program.  He has a fantastic phenotype, combining power and muscularity with structural soundness, and early maturity. He has been used by leading studs in NSW, and extensively in our flock, with 300 stud ewes joined to him for our 2018 lambing. His first drop of lambs display amazing consistency, and our sale rams in 2019 will be dominated by his progeny.

sw 310-14

SW 310-14 Poll Dorset

310-14 has proved his calibre as a sire. His progeny have been outstanding. At our 2017 ram sale, 310 had 46 sons catalogued . His progeny are consistent, and they are the type of sheep we strive to breed. Great dorset type, heavy bone, early maturing and full of meat. From the premier sons, to his general run of flock rams, they all have constitution and do-ability. 310's daughters are beginning to come into production within our stud, and we will use three sons in our breeding program in spring 2018, he is having a huge impact on our sheep.

Abelene park 232-15 | "Investment"

Investment Springwaters Poll Dorset Stud.jpg

"Investment" was purchased by us for $24,000 in 2016. He was bred by the Abelene Park stud from Tamworth in NSW, we have used genetics from Abelene Park several times in the past. We were attracted to him for his smooth shoulder setting and class. He has a lot of volume and meat for a ram with such a fine shoulder. His first drop of rams will be available in 2018, displaying his length and growth rate.
